How it all started: The history of Smith Village
When the Oakhaven Old People’s Home (Smith Village’s first name) opened in 1924, there were 44 residents. Now ten decades later, we’re home to almost 300. But that isn’t all that has changed. Take a trip down memory lane and discover the storied history of Smith Village.
